Mapaseka Koetle, the beloved actress known for her portrayal of Dintle Nyathi on Scandal!, has shared her thoughts on eTV’s decision to terminate the soap after 20 years.
Previously, Koetle joined Showmax’s Adulting, indicating that the television landscape is evolving.
When fan @BokangThole inquired about her feelings regarding the show’s conclusion, Koetle responded via her X account on September 27, 2025:
“Honestly, I’m okay. ❤️ The industry is changing, soapies are ending, and that’s just how it is. We have to keep evolving with the times. I’m just super grateful for my time on Scandal!, I learned so much, and I’ll always cherish that journey.”
Media reports indicate that the well-established soap, Scandal! on eTV, will conclude without a renewal for another season. The final season is set to wrap up in June 2026, bringing its 20-year television run to a close.
