American R&B artist Summer Walker has issued an apology to her South African audience after her performance last weekend was unexpectedly brief.
Attendees were left dissatisfied as what was anticipated to be a full-length concert was reduced to only a 30-minute set.
On the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Summer shared her feelings for her South African supporters and clarified that the reduction in her performance time was not due to her own decision.
“South Africa, I love you guys so much. You were the best show. I wanted to do the full hour, but the venue and SA police didn’t allow me to — it wasn’t my fault. I love you guys, I’ll be back soon,” she wrote.
The response to her statement has been mixed, with some fans thanking her for her transparency, while others continued to voice their disappointment with the event.
