Ngizwe Mchunu is facing backlash after a video clip emerged showing him body-shaming media figure Sol Phenduka during an episode of Podcast and Chill.
The footage, which circulated widely on X, sparked outrage among fans of the show who defended Phenduka against comments deemed unnecessary and disrespectful.
This incident took place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, during an interview on Phenduka’s YouTube channel.
Mchunu, who has recently made headlines for being barred from Kwa Mai-Mai due to his controversial comments on homosexuality, surprised viewers with his remarks directed at the host.
In a widely shared clip posted by user @ThisIsColbert, Mchunu used the Zulu term “s’dudla mafehlefehle” to mock Phenduka’s weight.
The accompanying caption read, “Wait, did Ngizwe Mchunu call Sol Phenduka ‘s’dudla mafehlefehle’? That’s body shaming, man. This episode was supposed to be a teachable moment, I feel robbed.”
Supporters of Podcast and Chill came together to back Phenduka, criticizing Mchunu’s comments and commending the radio personality for his poise amid the uncomfortable situation.
