
The multi-platinum hip-hop artistGunnais poised to headlineMilk + Cookies Music Week South Africa 2026, bringing his dynamic performance to both Cape Town and Johannesburg. After a successful inaugural event in 2025, which attracted 20,000 fans and featured Kaytranada, the Atlanta-based organization, led by four alumni from Morehouse College, will return. The festival, scheduled from24 December 2025 to 14 January 2026, promises a celebration of music, creativity, and the rich cultural landscape of South Africa.
Gunna, recognized for hits such asDrip Too HardandPush Up, is slated to take the stage atKenilworth Racecourse in Cape TownonSaturday, 3 January 2026, and will perform atNasrec Expo Centre in JohannesburgonSaturday, 10 January 2026. He will be accompanied by South African music starsDJ Kentin Johannesburg andVigro Deepin Cape Town, whose performances blend global hip-hop with South Africa’s amapiano and house sounds, underscoring the nation’s impact on the global music scene.

In addition to musical performances, theMilk + Cookies Music Weekis dedicated to supporting South Africa’s creative sectors throughwriting camps, industry panels, workshops, and merchandise pop-ups. The festival will incorporate Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives and community programs aimed at fostering local development, generating employment opportunities, and empowering young creators with essential tools and networks necessary to succeed in the ever-evolving music and creative industries.
