Euphonik calls out fake event promoters using his name
South African DJ and music producer Euphonik has alerted the public regarding impostors who are using his name and image to advertise fictitious events.
The artist expressed his concerns on X (formerly Twitter), where he shared a fraudulent flyer promoting an event he did not endorse.
Alongside the flyer, Euphonik stated: “This is funny 🤣 I hardly take bookings in SA and this is not one of them. Be safe out there. 🫡”
His tweet gained significant traction, with numerous fans responding. Some voiced their worries about the deception, while others humorously remarked on his comment about “hardly taking bookings” in South Africa.
One follower shared a similar experience, noting: “This company claimed to be your agency and they sponsored the owner with your set. They even have you on their website and their artist.”
Responses also included light-hearted jokes, with one user noting, “Wow listen to that flexing, ‘I hardly take local bookings,’” accompanied by laughing emojis.
Another comment offered a blend of caution and sarcasm: “If you see Euphonik on a banner, it’s a scam. He goes by the name ‘Themba’ nowadays. [Apparently] he rebranded after some controversial allegations.”
However, not all replies were in good spirits; one user remarked, “It’s not that you don’t take bookings in SA, nobody books you.”
