The England forward scored the third goal following Lamine Yamal’s opener and Ferran Torres’ milestone 50th goal for the club, while Rafa Mir provided a consolation for Elche. Barcelona rebounded from a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in last week’s El Clasico.
In a post-match interview shared on Barcelona’s official X handle, Rashford commented:
“Very important. Its always important after win to lost a game, to win the next game is the most important thing. I’m very happy with this and we will try to build a momentum and I’m happy today.
Confidence is a huge thing in football and the onus is on us to work hard to win and to feel good with our relationships on the pitch. Winning is helping us but we take it game by game and focus on ourselves and try to improve our performances.”
