  • On Tuesday, 25 November 2025, Shebeshxt appeared at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court to pursue his bail application
  • The hearing was postponed once more, with Shebeshxt’s attorney, Advocate Lot Ramusi, providing updates on the situation
  • Advocate Lot Ramusi also recounted an interaction that occurred with Shebeshxt during the proceedings
The challenges continue for Limpopo rapper Shebeshxt, as his bail hearing has again been delayed, with reports indicating that he is now facing a total of nine charges, an increase from the initial three.

Shebeshxt appeared in front of the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, following the postponement of his bail hearing which occurred during his previous court appearance on Friday, 21 November.

Updates on the postponement of Shebeshxt’s bail hearing

The bail hearing has been rescheduled to Thursday, 27 November 2025, after Advocate Lot Ramusi requested more time to prepare his case.

After the latest postponement, Ramusi spoke to reporters outside the court, confirming the addition of new charges and explaining that the musician is facing Schedule 6 charges. He noted that they needed to postpone the matter due to being surprised by the additional charges.

“I wanted to inform the court that give us time. That’s at least a day, so that we can go through each and every single count. There are 6 counts that I am not aware of. We were ambushed. I can say so. We were ambushed today. It’s something of an ambush. We were ready to proceed before we were presented with those six new charges. So, we must prepare. I mean, I’ll be doing a disservice to my client if I were to proceed in a matter that I’m not prepared for,” Ramusi explained.

According to the Polokwane Observer, the new charges against Shebeshxt include three counts of attempted murder, illegal possession of a firearm, malicious damage to property, and robbery with intent to cause bodily harm.

Furthermore, the State claims that the rapper is also facing several other charges associated with a warrant of arrest issued in 2023.

Details of the courtroom incident involving Shebeshxt

During the process of requesting a postponement, Shebeshxt visibly expressed his desire to avoid further delays. Ramusi commented on an incident involving Shebeshxt’s public performance schedule that circulated online just before his arrest.

“Look, my client has got a lot to lose by remaining in custody. It’s public knowledge that he’s probably the most booked artist in South Africa right now, and keeping him in custody is a bit of a burden for him, because every day he is here, he is owing someone a deposit,” Ramusi added.

As Shebeshxt indicated his preference for the bail hearing to proceed, the court took a brief recess to allow Ramusi to speak with him privately. Upon reconvening, the magistrate rescheduled the bail hearing to Thursday, 27 November at 14:00, citing the unavailability of the investigating officer on Wednesday due to a testimony in another case in Tzaneen.
