Heartbreak for Limpopo Music Scene: Kaycherlow's Car Accident Derails Weekend Performance
Limpopo musician Kaycherlow made headlines over the weekend following news of his involvement in a car accident.
The artist, whose real name is Morwakhalo Khwinana, is recognized for his tracks including Ariyeng, Ke tlo boya, and Ba Ntseba.
Reportedly, he was involved in the accident early on Sunday, December 7, 2025, while heading to a performance in Zebediela, Limpopo.
The local news source LimpChronicle detailed the incident on X, noting that it occurred close to Usave in Mathibela.
At the time, the artist was en route to a well-known local pub called Ga-Stan when the accident took place.
This incident involving Kaycherlow highlights a troubling pattern this year for Limpopo artists, following similar accidents involving Chymamusique, Kharishma, and Kaylow.
Additionally, this accident comes on the heels of the recent death of DJ Poizen, who tragically passed away in a separate incident.
As news regarding Kaycherlow’s condition remains ambiguous, fans have taken to social media to express their support and concern.
One Twitter user, @tebogorashilo70, commented: “Whoever is fighting with whoever, it needs to stop. Le hloka dithapelo (you need prayers). Jealousy is taking a serious part, more bookings than someone else.”
Another user, @Tom47096338, remarked: “Others will blame witchcraft, but no one looks at the fact that artists have normalised alcohol as part of their lives. When you book them, they even give you a list of the alcohol they want and the type of accommodation, while they have to drive from one gig to another still.”
