Leandro Trossard will celebrate his 31st birthday on December 4, 2025, yet his performance on the field proves that age is merely a statistic for one of Arsenal’s standout players.
According to Softfootball, Trossard continues to play a pivotal role in Mikel Arteta’s strategy, blending intelligence, consistency, and technical skill that enhances the Gunners’ performance season after season.

Since his transfer from Brighton to Arsenal in January 2023 for £24 million, Trossard has made more than 130 appearances, proving to be an invaluable asset and one of Arteta’s most reliable and versatile offensive players.
Trossard made an early mark on Premier League history; in March 2023, he became the first player to achieve a hat-trick of first-half assists in an away match, playing a key role in a 3–0 victory over Fulham.
That same season, he matched Santi Cazorla as the only Arsenal player to achieve both a hat-trick of goals and a hat-trick of assists in a single Premier League season, showcasing his adaptability and elite skills.
Despite speculation surrounding a potential departure, Mikel Arteta confirmed that Trossard is not available for transfer and had no desire to leave.
In November 2023, Trossard further secured his legacy at the club by scoring the 1,000th goal at the Emirates Stadium during a 3–1 victory over Burnley.

In the 2024/25 season, Trossard was the only outfield player to participate in every match of the Premier League, demonstrating his reliability and significance in Arteta’s plan. However, he faced a setback due to an injury sustained in the UEFA Champions League win over Bayern Munich, causing him to miss Arsenal’s last two fixtures.
He also contributed 17 goals across all competitions, with 12 in the league, and netted a stunning winner against Everton, earning the Premier League Goal of the Month award for September.
Notably, Arsenal has never lost a game in which Trossard has scored, highlighting his immediate and impactful presence, whether starting or coming off the bench.

By November 2025, exactly two years post his debut, he marked his 100th appearance for the club, having netted 23 goals, many of which were critical contributions from the bench.
Hailing from Waterschei, Belgium, Trossard’s ability with both feet stems from rigorous training in his youth. He attributes his ambidextrous skills to his grandfather’s coaching, which has made him a uniquely talented attacker.
Standing at 1.72m, he relies not on physical size but rather on intelligent movement, situational awareness, and quick bursts of speed to create opportunities in the attacking zone.
His market value reached over €50 million in 2025, reflecting his vital role at Arsenal. With his contract set to run until June 2027, the club is positioned to continue benefiting from his experience and talent.
