Babes Wodumo has expressed her love and remembrance for her deceased spouse, Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, as she marks the third anniversary of his death with a moving post on social media that resonated with many followers.
The Gqom artist included a video excerpt from Mampintsha’s memorial service, featuring herself delivering a tribute during the event.
In her post, Babes shared the recurring grief she feels as the anniversary of his passing arrives, while also recognizing the resilience that she has developed over the years.
“Today marks 3 years wangishiya @mampintsha_shimora myeni wami🥹 Mase kusondele lolu suku kuvele kubuye konke,” she expressed, noting that the memories and feelings resurface every time the date approaches.
According to Babes, her faith has sustained her, allowing her to talk about her husband candidly, despite the lingering sadness.
She reflected that crafting her message brought tears to her eyes, acknowledging that while the pain persists, so too does her strength.
Babes expressed gratitude to Mampintsha for their shared life, portraying him as her source of support and the man who consistently stood by her side.
“Ngiya bonga myeni wami❤️ Kwabanye ubuyi blesser 😂 Kodwa kimi ubuwu bambo lwami impela,” she noted, emphasizing how although others may have viewed the late artist as a “blesser,” he was truly her rock.
