MICHAEL MADSEN’S CONTRIBUTIONS TO HOLLYWOOD
Over a remarkable career spanning more than 40 years, Madsen racked up over 300 credits across film and television. His ability to deeply embody antagonistic characters helped him forge a strong on-screen connection with Tarantino.
THE RAZOR BLADE AND THE EAR
Madsen has delivered numerous unforgettable scenes, but none stands out more than the infamous torture sequence in the seminal Tarantino film, Reservoir Dogs (1992). A heist goes south due to an undercover cop, leading the unhinged Mr. Blonde, played by Madsen, to identify the infiltrator. In a horrific display, he targets the suspect and cuts off his ear while jovially dancing to “Stuck In The Middle With You” by Stealers Wheel.
