- Lesiba Gwangwa, a business mogul, accused Tbo Touch of leaving unpaid debts from a Mercedes-Maybach sale and a failed Replenishment concert prior to moving to Australia
- Gwangwa claimed he provided financial assistance for car repairs and invested in the event, leading to legal actions and damaged relations
- Opinions on X were polarized, with some defending Tbo Touch, arguing against “black on black jealousy,” while others labeled him “fake” and questioned his financial status
Tbo Touch, a prominent radio figure, is facing financial scrutiny after Lesiba Gwangwa accused him of skipping the country to Australia while leaving unpaid debts behind.
The controversy, as detailed in a report by the Sunday Times, involves a Mercedes-Maybach transaction and investments tied to Touch’s unsuccessful Replenishment concert, which put a strain on their former friendship.
Gwangwa asserted that Tbo Touch sought financial help during hard times in 2024, including borrowing R160,000 to cover part of the R215,000 deficit from the Maybach sale, as well as repair costs and a spare key.
Previously, Tbo Touch disclosed that he had moved from South Africa to Australia, which led to speculation among fans about his financial status.

Conversely, another user, @_uncensored_Po, asserted:
“I said it a long time ago that this guy is fake. He keeps claiming he’s a businessman but we don’t know what business he’s into. He can’t survive without radio. That’s a fact. Without radio, he’s got nothing going on in his life.”
@NevondoRi expressed:
“His lifestyle doesn’t match his legit earnings. He earns more money through other means that he doesn’t want to disclose.”

“There is something fake about Touch.”
Another user, @Tshivhudziswi, also weighed in with a religious perspective, stating:

“Stop hating.”
