Tebogo Thobejane
Tebogo Thobejane is transforming her painful experiences into a narrative of resilience as she begins writing her new book.
This author and survivor views the book as an opportunity to turn the page on a traumatic incident that nearly took her life.
Thobejane was reportedly targeted in a shooting allegedly planned by Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala, who is said to have funded the attempt on her life with R150,000.
Sources suggest that the money was allegedly routed through a business account owned by Nthabiseng Nzama, the daughter of Matlala’s co-accused, Floyd Tiego Mahusela.
During the incident, Thobejane sustained a gunshot wound to her foot, while the individual accompanying her suffered a spinal injury that resulted in paralysis.
Concerned for her safety, Thobejane left South Africa and has since been residing overseas.
She is now channeling her experiences into her writing, planning to share personal insights about her journey.
The forthcoming book will shed light on her traumatic experiences and her path toward recovery and empowerment.
