The footage captures Timberlake, aged 45, communicating with an officer from the Suffolk County Police Department, asserting that he was merely following his friends back to his residence.
This nearly 19-minute recording features a field sobriety assessment administered to Timberlake by the police officers prior to being placed in the police car on-site.
As reported by People Maga8zine, he was taken into custody in Long Island, New York, on June 18, 2024, initially facing one charge of driving while intoxicated along with two infractions: one for disregarding a stop sign and another for failing to maintain his lane. Timberlake accepted a plea agreement, choosing to plead guilty to a reduced charge.
Timberlake submitted a legal petition claiming that the release of the footage would infringe upon his privacy, but a redacted edition was made public after he consented to the disclosure of a version that “does not constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy,” as stated in People Magazine.
