Television personalities Siyabonga “Scoop” Ngwekazi and Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena are set to join Metro FM.
The popular radio station has revealed updates to its 2026 lineup, welcoming notable figures from entertainment to its platform.
Ngwekazi hosted the Metro FM Music Awards in the previous year, partnering with Luthando “LootLove” Shosha, who handles the afternoon slot. He previously worked at YFM and the now-defunct Touch Central.
Rapper Moozlie has established herself as a prominent figure in television and youth culture. She will co-host a new lifestyle program with an emphasis on digital content.
The two will lead their fresh show, Lift Off, which is designed as a weekend lifestyle offering. It will broadcast on Fridays from 7.00 to 10.00 pm and on Saturdays from 6.00 to 9.00 pm.
Veteran broadcaster Ismail Abrahams is departing from the station to explore new media opportunities, while Ricardo Genesis, a rising talent from VOW FM, will step in to represent the upcoming generation of radio professionals.
Mvangeli Nzuza will assume the role previously held by Paulette Neo Kayise, who was with the station as a weekday traffic reporter for a year. Kayise will now handle weekend news segments.
“As METRO FM nears its 40th anniversary, our goal is to uphold what has proven effective, while celebrating the brand’s history with the talents that have contributed to its success, and making calculated updates to enhance our services,” stated METRO FM Business Manager, Kina Nhlengethwa.
“These new hosts enrich an already robust lineup, reinforcing the station’s ongoing engagement with its listeners,” Nhlengethwa added.
The breakfast and afternoon programs, Best Mornings with Sabelo “Sabby” Mtshali and Candice Coulsen, as well as The Touchdown hosted by Thabo “Tbo Touch” Molefe and Luthando “Loot Love” Shosha, will remain unchanged.
