South African singer-songwriter Nomfundo Moh caused a stir among her followers with an April Fool’s joke.
The artist, who has a new album in the works, took to social media to share what seemed to be an official announcement about a delay regarding the release of Farm Julia.
“Hi fam, it is with sad news to announce that my new album Farm Julia will not be releasing anymore as scheduled this Friday. The reasons for this are above me, and there’s nothing I can do about it. I’m deeply heartbroken but I hope this can be resolved soon. Thank you for supporting me this far,” the statement read.

Shortly after, she clarified that the announcement was merely a prank, confirming that her album’s release is still on schedule.
“I really wanted yall to feast but ke kube ngaphezu kwamandla😔💔… Apologies MohFam,” she captioned the follow-up post, while counting down to the album’s release.
Fans and colleagues quickly filled the comment section with laughter, with many revealing they were momentarily deceived before accepting her apology.
