Wireless Festival has revealed that it is cancelling its festival planned for July due to the UK Home Office’s restriction on its headliner being allowed entry into the nation.
West was slated to headline the event across all three days, which were set for July 10 to 12 at Finsbury Park in London.
However, his “antisemitic, racist, and pro-Nazi comments” made in recent years have sparked significant backlash from both Jewish and broader communities.
The festival shared a statement on their social platforms: “Due to the Home Office preventing YE from entering the United Kingdom, Wireless Festival has been compelled to cancel. All individuals holding tickets will automatically receive a complete refund.”
As reported by Variety Magazine, Wireless Festival added: “Similar to every Wireless Festival, a variety of stakeholders were consulted before booking Ye and no issues were raised at that time.”
“All forms of antisemitism are unacceptable, and we acknowledge the real and personal consequences these matters have caused. As Ye stated today, he recognizes that mere words are insufficient, and nonetheless hopes to be granted the chance to initiate dialogue with the Jewish community in the UK.”

The Prime Minister of the UK, Keir Starmer, has voiced his opinion on the matter as well.
He posted a brief message on social media: “Kanye West should never have been invited to headline Wireless. This administration firmly supports the Jewish community, and we will continue our efforts to combat and eliminate the scourge of antisemitism. We will always take necessary measures to safeguard the public and uphold our values.”
