Dr Musa Mthombeni has responded to allegations of infidelity that circulated online, claiming he was unfaithful to his spouse, Liesl Laurie-Mthombeni, during a recent trip in Thailand.
The rumors quickly gained momentum on social media platforms, implying that the radiologist had been engaging with another woman during a trip with friends.
This speculation intensified as various users noted the couple’s diminished joint appearances on social media, prompting gossip accounts to suggest potential issues in their relationship.
In response, Mthombeni took to X, quickly refuting the claims as unfounded.
“Aowa Bathong. Mina futhi! What fresh lie is it today?” he expressed.
Clearly annoyed, he criticized what he perceives as a recurring cycle of false information driven by social media interactions.
“Saphela Nkosi yam. Every time I see something controversial on the timeline, I check for a blue tick. Once I see it, I know it’s hunger tweeting.”
He further cautioned about the repercussions of spreading unverified information.

Emphasizing his point, Mthombeni asserted that any narrative unrelated to his love for family, education, career, or enjoyment of life is unfounded.
