The Megacy expressed disbelief when an old photo resurfaced, showcasing a well-known AKA project displayed in a discount bin.
This follows recent news that a plaque of his was listed on Facebook Marketplace, alongside an October 2016 post from X (formerly Twitter) featuring a shot of a copy of Levels (Unlocked), the 2015 repackaged version of the late rapper’s album, retailing for just R10 compared to its original price of R129.99.
The individual behind the post took a jab at AKA’s controversial public persona, suggesting the reduced price for his music was “karma” for his notorious arrogance and frequent social media disputes.
“When you’ve irritated the country enough.”

During that period, the rapper was enjoying significant popularity as “Supa Mega,” often making headlines not only for his chart-topping singles but also for his outspoken nature and public conflicts with rivals, including his well-known feud with Cassper Nyovest.
Levels (Unlocked) was released to commemorate the success of the original album and to offer fans additional content that highlighted the creative journey behind it. This version included a CD and DVD set, featuring behind-the-scenes documentaries about the album’s development, along with hit songs such as Sim Dope and Congratulate.
Now, a decade later and three years following the rapper’s untimely death, the “karma” remark serves as a nostalgic reference to the past. The original poster acknowledged purchasing the discounted album, bringing attention to a time when fans’ main concern with AKA pertained to his provocative social media interactions, not his absence.
