During the inaugural season, Nandi is portrayed as the matriarch facing the fallout of her husband losing his role as a senior minister at the Bedfordview Methodist Church. The couple frequently clashed as they grappled with the challenges of raising seven children without a steady income.
The stress led Zole to seek solace in alcohol, which further strained his relationship with Nandi.
Amidst these struggles, Nandi also sought to rediscover herself, especially since their church-related responsibilities were no longer present.
During that tumultuous time, the family’s financial troubles came to a head when they were allegedly evicted from their Sandton residence last year due to complications arising from the tenant who sublet to the Mlombis without the owner’s permission, who also did not allow filming for the show at their property.
Many questioned the decision to move to a costly area that they were evidently unable to afford, particularly as Zole had expressed his discontent regarding the relocation during the program.
With the second season approaching, viewers will be curious to see the current state of affairs between the couple and the challenges they encountered together.
