Barcelona remains optimistic about signing Karim Adeyemi this summer but is hesitant to agree to Borussia Dortmund’s valuation of €40 million for the German international.
Softfootball reports that the Catalan club believes it can secure a deal for a lower amount, with discussions anticipated to proceed in the upcoming weeks.
Adeyemi has expressed his preference by indicating to Borussia Dortmund that Barcelona is his sole preferred choice. The 24-year-old does not plan to renew his current contract, which runs until June 2027.
Barcelona has already made an official bid for the winger and is willing to exercise patience if an agreement isn’t reached right away.

If the transfer does not occur this summer, Adeyemi will have the opportunity to discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs starting in January, which could lead to a free transfer in 2027.
Barcelona believes that the player’s intention to join the club enhances their position in negotiations and is hopeful that a suitable agreement can eventually be found with Dortmund.
