Softfootball has reported that Liverpool is considering Chelsea winger Pedro Neto as a possible stand-in for Mohamed Salah, with the Portuguese player becoming one of the club’s top attacking targets this summer.
Currently, the Reds are assessing the feasibility of a potential transfer, although no official offer has been made as of yet.
Neto is believed to be willing to join Anfield, as Liverpool sees the 26-year-old as a suitable addition to their offensive strategy due to his speed, direct approach, and versatility on the right wing.
Although Chelsea had a lackluster 2025/26 season, finishing 10th in the Premier League, Neto managed to record 10 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, with six contributions in the FA Cup.

Liverpool’s interest in Neto arises amid notable changes within the club following the exit of Michael Edwards as CEO of Football for Fenway Sports Group. While the leadership within football operations is in transition, preparations for the upcoming season are ongoing, with strengthening the attack being crucial should Salah leave.
At this moment, while Liverpool’s interest is significant, discussions are still in the initial phase.
