What the SAMA industry awards celebrate
The SAMA32 Industry Awards highlight the individuals who often work behind the scenes: producers, sound engineers, music video directors, songwriters, and other vital contributors whose efforts support South Africa’s top hits. The ceremony is scheduled for the night prior to the main SAMA32 event.
Unati Gwija, the SAMA spokesperson, expressed enthusiasm for Zondo’s selection.
The principal SAMA32 ceremony will take place on Saturday, 15 August, at the Sun City Superbowl in the North West, themed The Future Sounds Like Now Now. Cassper Nyovest and Zanele Potelwa will host the main event, while Fresh By Caddy and Munaka Muthambi will manage the official red carpet coverage.
The awards receive support from the Motsepe Foundation and are backed by partners including the SABC and RiSA, setting the stage for another exciting celebration of talent in local music.
