Softfootball reports that Romelu Lukaku has consented to join Fenerbahçe after engaging in direct discussions with the president of the Turkish club. However, the transfer is contingent upon Fenerbahçe’s final choice and ongoing negotiations with Napoli regarding the transfer fee.
The 33-year-old striker from Belgium is reportedly on the market for around €10 million, as Napoli looks to offload him following a season marred by injuries.
Lukaku had a productive first year in Naples, contributing to Napoli’s Serie A title win after returning to Italy. Nevertheless, his presence diminished significantly last season, appearing in only seven matches due to ongoing injuries.

Lukaku’s physical condition and salary are critical considerations for Fenerbahçe as they evaluate the move. Although he has shown interest in the transfer, the club must decide whether the investment is warranted given his recent injury history and limited game time.
On the other hand, Napoli is ready to accommodate his exit and is believed to be looking for around €10 million for the experienced forward.
