A wave of relationship speculation has made its way through Mzansi’s entertainment industry, with Scotts Maphuma reportedly connected to renowned beauty influencer Naqueeda Dayel.
The chatter intensified after the latest episode of Music Pulse, which aired on 11 August 2026. Thakgi Ledwaba shared with viewers and his colleagues, Nota Baloyi and Sfiso Ndlovu, that his sources had seen Scotts and Naqueeda together in Midrand, describing their interaction as quite intimate.
“Allegedly, they were seen in Midrand all cosy. Someone also mentioned that Scotts was busy with Naqueeda.”
He elaborated, indicating that Scotts seemed to be “finishing” the situation discreetly, suggesting that their relationship, along with other connections, had been kept hidden.
In a related comment, a voice from the show expressed concern, saying, “Poor Bruce,” which referred to Naqueeda’s previous boyfriend. The duo had recently announced their latest breakup in January, with personal issues cited as the reason.

Despite being well-known in South Africa’s musical landscape, Scotts Maphuma has traditionally kept his love life private.
