This development concludes the rumors of a potential partnership with former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah at Trabzonspor, where Salah has already transitioned from the Premier League to the Turkish club.
Softfootball previously noted that Núñez was a candidate for a move to Trabzonspor, with various reports suggesting that the Turkish team was looking into the possibility of reuniting the former Liverpool players.
Núñez transferred to Al Hilal from Liverpool on 9 August 2025 for a fee of €53 million, excluding any bonuses.
