Recently, I have been making an effort to spotlight more African musicians and during my exploration, I discovered a remarkable artist named Deena. She has just unveiled a new single called ‘TENSION’. Right from the start, her underground style is evident, characterized by dynamic production and punchy rap delivery. In this track, Deena expresses her determination to demand attention, making it clear that she intends to leave her mark in the industry. Additionally, she infuses the song with the typical bravado often found in rap, exuding a notable sense of confidence. The accompanying visuals match the vibrant energy of the track, featuring an internet-inspired aesthetic. However, one downside is the song’s brief length of just 1 minute and 41 seconds. Check out ‘TENSION’ below.
