Issi Shows Deep Appreciation For His Team As He Prepares to Release His New EP. Durban hip-hop artist Issi has conveyed a sincere message of thanks while gearing up to present his forthcoming EP.
The rapper, raised in Chesterville and known as Issi Luthando Dlamini or mcwijo, took to Instagram to share a simple black-and-white post, stating: “God bless everyone who was part of this EP. Really appreciate it. Hope you guys like it.”
Issi’s concise statement highlights the contributions of those involved in the project, offering fans insight into the gratitude behind the release. Instead of emphasizing the excitement for the EP, the young artist prioritized acknowledging his team’s efforts in creating his latest work.
At 21, Issi continues to establish himself in the South African hip-hop scene, creating music influenced by his upbringing in the Durban neighborhoods of Chesterville and Mayville. His style merges personal insights with the realities of his environment, while he draws inspiration from artists like NBA YoungBoy and Juice WRLD.
His growing repertoire includes a feature on DJ Sliqe’s Bangerville 2 EP and his 2026 album Dawn ~ The Beginning. This seven-track project showcased a more deliberate approach to his rapping as he further honed his identity as an artist.
Although the recent Instagram post does not include the complete tracklist, featured collaborators, or platforms for release, Issi’s message clearly indicates that the project has involved significant teamwork.
The straightforward post also illustrates the rapper’s subtle method of marking notable moments in his career. With the EP set for release soon, Issi is taking this time to thank those who contributed to the project.
As excitement grows, fans are eagerly awaiting further announcements about the upcoming EP and its launch details. For Issi, the focus remains on expressing gratitude for his team, with the music to follow shortly.
