Tasha HendrixX Unveils Long-Awaited “StrobeLights” Music Video Featuring Zulu Mecca. The official visuals for “StrobeLights,” a collaboration with Zulu Mecca, have finally launched, marking nearly a year since the track first appeared on her 2025 mixtape Against All Odds.
In a message to her fans, HendrixX reflected on the timing of the video’s release as it nears its anniversary. “Long overdue, but glad we can finally put this out,” she stated, expressing gratitude to Zulu Mecca for providing what she called a timeless verse and highlighting her admiration for the artist.
“StrobeLights” is the ninth selection on the eleven-track album Against All Odds, which was released on October 7, 2025. The song reflects HendrixX’s unique hip-hop style along with Zulu Mecca’s lyrical artistry, the performance name of actress and rapper Mandisa Nduna.
This release highlights Tasha HendrixX’s proactive involvement in her music production. She took on the editing of the video, with her collaborator PdotO directing it. Cinematography work was done by @sir_midnight_00, while the beat was produced by @beatsbyshxne. The visuals also feature appearances from Spike Adam Lyf, Katlego The Don, and Linda.
Against All Odds portrays HendrixX as someone committed to narrating her own story. The mixtape, with PdotO as executive producer, intersperses personal insights with a bold hip-hop sound, exemplified by tracks such as “TearOfTheVeil,” “FreeSoul,” “WayUP” featuring Tae Africa, and the title track.
“StrobeLights” stands out as one of the key collaborations on the project, especially due to the effective synergy between these two distinct artists. Zulu Mecca acknowledged the partnership during the mixtape’s launch, referring to HendrixX as “Queen.”
As Against All Odds nears its one-year anniversary, the debut of the “StrobeLights” video offers the song a renewed moment of attention. This track, which once resided within a mixtape, now enjoys an independent visual narrative, contributing depth to a project focused on resilience and authenticity.
The “StrobeLights” video is currently available on Tasha HendrixX’s YouTube channel, with Against All Odds still accessible for fans to enjoy in its entirety.
