Australian-Liberian rapper, singer and songwriter Adlipzs has released a new Christian rap single and its official music video titled “I PROMISE.” The track conveys a personal narrative about faith, identity, hardship, personal development, and God’s steadfast love. After his prior single, “BE HONEST,” the emerging Australian artist continues to establish his unique sound, drawing from his own life experiences, spirituality, and genuine storytelling. In “I PROMISE,” Adlipzs explores his journey of finding his identity through faith, rather than being influenced by external opinions. The song’s faith-based message offers listeners a more intimate glimpse into the artist’s vulnerabilities, showcasing his skill in blending rap with inspirational Christian themes.
Central to “I PROMISE” is a narrative of change. Adlipzs articulates the track as a reflection on his journey of recognizing his identity in God, affirming that through trials and hardships, he has never been abandoned. The song resonates with anyone who has grappled with their identity, faced societal judgment, or encountered periods of doubt in their faith. Rather than depicting faith as a distant concept, Adlipzs personalizes it, using his music to convey a message of hope and restoration. He expresses a hope that “I PROMISE” will resonate with listeners, bolster their faith, and remind them of God’s unwavering love through their experiences. The track serves as an invitation for listeners to ponder their own paths and the significance of grace, mercy, faith, and purpose.
The music video for “I PROMISE” enhances this message through a more personal lens, featuring Adlipzs with his family and placing his Bible prominently in the narrative. The inclusion of his family adds depth to the video, emphasizing the values and relationships that are significant to him as he navigates his music career. His Bible represents the foundational element of his message, underscoring the centrality of faith in his identity and creativity. The combination of the song and the visuals offers an honest portrayal of Adlipzs, revealing an artist willing to candidly discuss his faith, growth, and the defining moments of his life. With connections to Liberia and a burgeoning presence in Australia, Adlipzs embodies a diverse voice within the growing realm of Christian rap and hip-hop.
