Bab’ Dlamini, known in the music scene as Big Facata, is elevating “Shimpilika”, a single that debuted earlier this year. The remix, scheduled for release on 18 September, features a collaboration of seven artists, uniting talents from Eswatini and South Africa.
The term “Shimpilika” translates to “slide” in siSwati, making it a natural choice for a song that emphasizes movement. The remix includes contributions from Eswatini artists Oriiginelle, Grixxly, Sean Cast, Ncwiki Flex, Thaifo Son, and MCO Jamrock, alongside South Africa’s Nino Fresko. Instead of merely including a guest verse, Bab’ Dlamini transforms the track into a collaborative cypher, providing a platform for each artist to express their unique style.
