South African artist and music creator Dxn P has unveiled his new project titled South Of The Equator, a collaboration featuring vocalist Sweet Cocoa. This two-track release is launched today, 22 September 2026, via PX2 Records, and is accessible on all prominent streaming services.
Splitting his time between South Africa and Seattle, Washington, Dxn P has been blending the soulful essence of house music with the vibrant rhythmic style of Amapiano. His recent project embodies this musical fusion, a collaborative effort with Sweet Cocoa.
After the release, Dxn P turned to social media to introduce South Of The Equator to fans, celebrating the launch of his latest work. He shared thoughts on how this project presents a new phase, with the artists expressing their views on Amapiano shaped by their cultural perspectives.
This project includes tracks Summerfly featuring Sweet Cocoa and Oh My featuring Sweet Cocoa. These songs create a cohesive work that allows both musicians to showcase their collaborative talents while remaining true to the Amapiano and dance music styles that define Dxn P’s portfolio.
South Of The Equator also marks a significant step in Dxn P’s international musical journey. Though he hails from South Africa, his residence in Seattle allows him to engage with the thriving African electronic music scene, where he both performs and fosters connections between African music and global audiences.
This new release follows Dxn P’s earlier collaborations, including a significant partnership with South African artist Heavy K in late 2025. That collaboration further expanded his growing discography as he continues to bridge various styles within electronic and African dance music.
With Sweet Cocoa contributing her vocals to both tracks, South Of The Equator showcases the artistic talents of Mphiwa Simiso Mhlanga and Yvonne Idro, while Wordsmith Felix manages the audio engineering. The work is released as a two-track single under the label PX2 Records.
Listeners can now stream and download both Summerfly and Oh My on popular digital music platforms, providing an opportunity to enjoy the latest collaboration between Dxn P and Sweet Cocoa.
