As Nigeria’s Super Falcons gear up for their qualifying journey to the 2028 Olympic Games against Comoros, a number of players have rejoined the Flamingos team after their involvement in the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup held in Poland.
These players will integrate back into the Flamingos squad as they advance their preparations for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup taking place in Morocco.
Returning to the lineup are:
- Precious Oscar
- Favour Nkwocha
- Tosin Rafiu
- Queen Joseph
- Goalkeeper Jane Ijirigho.
Their arrival is a positive development for the Flamingos, who are in the midst of their training for the upcoming global tournament, bolstered by the experience many of these players gained from the U20 World Cup.
In parallel, preparations are ramping up for the Super Falcons, who are commencing their Olympic qualifying campaign.

Interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen has recently announced a 28-player squad for the two-match qualifier against Comoros, with the training camp set to commence in Ikenne on Sunday, October 4.
As the Super Falcons aim to advance in their Olympic qualifiers, the Flamingos will continue to prepare for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, welcoming back several players from the Falconets.
The addition of Precious Oscar, Favour Nkwocha, Tosin Rafiu, Queen Joseph, and Jane Ijirigho is anticipated to enhance the team’s capabilities as Nigeria intensifies its preparations for the event in Morocco.
