5FM, the leading youth radio station in South Africa, is excited to partner again with Breast Intentions for the annual Breast Intentions Colour Run, Ampli5d by 5FM, scheduled for Saturday, 17 October 2026, at Thaba Eco Trails in Johannesburg.
This dynamic 5km event is designed for families and serves a purpose beyond mere enjoyment. It is an initiative with a significant goal. Breast Intentions aims to finance 100 life-saving mammograms for women from underserved areas, with each ticket purchased contributing to the possibility of early detection. The importance of early detection cannot be overstated, and this event allows young South Africans to actively partake in a cause that can lead to life-saving outcomes.
5FM will enhance the atmosphere with a live broadcast from 5 Weekend Breakfast featuring Mike V, Palesa Lemeke, and Aaron Masemola, bringing the event’s energy, music, and advocacy to the audience throughout Mzansi.
Participants can look forward to enjoying a picturesque trail, stations with color powder for a spirited show of support, food and beverage stalls, musical entertainment, and a lively ambiance focused on celebrating women, wellness, and hope. Tickets can be purchased through Breast Intentions and Thaba Eco Trails platforms. Each entry plays a part in the Give Hope. Fund a Scan campaign.
