Marawa Clarifies: No Statement from Parker on Kacha Split
Bernard Parker has requested that both the public and media respect his privacy after he shared a statement on his Instagram account recently.
This statement revealed the conclusion of his relationship with Kacha Stepanovic. The former player for Bafana Bafana has distanced himself from this announcement, which gained traction when broadcaster Robert Marawa discussed it on air.
During an episode of Marawa Sports Worldwide, Marawa noted that he had a conversation with Parker earlier that day.
“I want to make one thing clear: the statement that was issued did not originate from him,” he mentioned.
He was replying to a listener’s inquiry about whether Parker had been let go from TS Galaxy. This question emerged due to Parker’s absence during the match against Orlando Pirates and the Carling Knockout draw.
As per Marawa, Parker had been without his phone for a period of 14 days, and “someone else was using it.” He also mentioned that the issue has now been turned over to a communications firm, with a solution anticipated within the next 48 hours.
Marawa added that Parker will provide additional comments after he concludes discussions with his legal advisors.
In a message from The Bernard Parker Foundation, Parker stated that any communication bearing his name should only be considered official if it is validated by himself or his manager. He urged individuals not to “circulate unverified rumors or speculation” regarding his private affairs.
Parker indicated he is managing the situation “privately and responsibly,” highlighting the importance of dignity and the welfare of everyone involved, particularly the children. He also expressed gratitude to fans, peers, and the wider football community for their support.
Currently, it remains uncertain which aspects of the initial statement he agrees with. The situation concerning his marriage to Wendy Parker has also not been clarified.
