Cindy Crawford, an iconic American supermodel, expressed on Sunday that she and her family are “beyond heartbroken,” a month after the tragic passing of her son Presley Gerber.
Presley, who was 27 years old and the child of Crawford and entrepreneur Rande Gerber, passed away on September 20 at a rehabilitation center in California.
“We are beyond heartbroken to lose our beloved son and brother,” Crawford shared via an Instagram post on behalf of her family, including a poignant black-and-white photo of him.
“We are so proud of how he showed up in the world, with kindness and vulnerability,” she continued.
Kaia Gerber, the sister of Presley, also honored him on Instagram: “You know how much I loved being your sister. It has always been, and will forever be, my favourite thing about myself.”
Born in California in 1999, Presley Gerber followed in the footsteps of his mother and sister, making his fashion runway debut for the Italian brand Moschino when he was just 16 years old.
In the last few years, he has been candid on social media regarding his battles with mental health and substance use.
