Several seasoned players are poised to join the squad for next month’s tour Down Under.
Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma are set to lead the Proteas’ T20 and ODI squads, respectively, during their upcoming tour of Australia.
The T20 series will occur from August 10 to 16, followed by a three-match ODI series scheduled between August 19 and 24. The games will be held in Darwin, Cairns, and Mackay.
Recent Test debutant Prenelan Subrayen, an off-spinner from the Dolphins, has received his first call-up to the T20 and ODI teams. Meanwhile, Titans players Dewald Brevis and Lhuan-dré Pretorius are on track to make their ODI debuts, having already participated in T20 matches for South Africa.

Brevis, Pretorius, and Subrayen will feature in both teams alongside Aiden Markram, Ryan Rickelton, Tristan Stubbs, seamers Corbin Bosch, Nandre Burger, Lungi Ngidi, and Kagiso Rabada.
Notable absentees include David Miller, Marco Jansen, Tabraiz Shamsi, and the retired Heinrich Klaasen.
Coach Shukri Conrad expressed enthusiasm, stating, “It’s fantastic to have our senior players back after their rest post-WTC Final. Their experience is invaluable as we continue to establish a strong foundation in both formats.”
He added, “Every series moving forward contributes to shaping our squads for next year’s T20 World Cup and the ODI World Cup at home in 2027. Touring Australia poses significant challenges; we recognize that their conditions and competitive intensity will test us in all areas. That’s precisely the kind of challenge we seek.”
