After captivating South African audiences with his stellar performance on Saturday during the Women’s Day Celebration at Wanderers Cricket Stadium in Johannesburg, R&B artist Joe Thomas has landed another performance opportunity in South Africa.
This comes in light of Ndlala Mall adding an extra day to the eagerly awaited grand opening event in Pretoria scheduled for 22 August 2025.
R&B STAR JOE THOMAS EXTENDS SA STAY FOR NDLALA MALL GRAND OPENING
A plan for an exciting two-day celebration briefly lost its Friday show from the initial lineup.
This adjustment followed Tank’s withdrawal from performing at the Ndlala Mall grand opening on 2 August. To keep the enthusiasm alive, organisers promptly added Donell Jones to the roster from last week.
However, in a move that demonstrates commitment to his fans, Ndlala has restored the complete original schedule to provide attendees the full experience they were promised.
Joe Thomas will take the spotlight during Friday’s Grand Opening ceremony, while Donell Jones will headline Saturday’s show. Joseph Lewis Thomas, widely known as Joe, is an acclaimed American R&B vocalist who gained prominence in the 1990s with chart-toppers like Stutter, I Wanna Know, and All the Things Your Man Won’t Do.
Throughout his career, he has released multiple successful albums, such as My Name Is Joe and Better Days. Thomas is ready to enthrall the audience with his performance at the mall’s grand opening.
“Remember, the event was initially scheduled for 2 days; this is us keeping the promise to give people an opportunity to choose their favourite,” says Ndlala.
The international artist disclosed that he is extending his stay in South Africa following his performance at a Women’s Day Celebration.
“South Africa, I have a surprise for you. I am staying to support my friend Thami Ndlala,” Thomas proudly announced.
