Unfolding New Adventures: Nadia's Journey Season 2 Debuts on BET Africa!

Nadia Nakai has openly condemned the music distribution firm Ziiki Media, detailing her experiences with the organization in a recent series of posts on Instagram Stories.

In her first message, Nakai stated: “Don’t bother with @ziikisouthside what a joke! Just shut down already!” She elaborated in a subsequent post: “Don’t do it! Don’t say I didn’t warn you! They are the pits!!! @ziikisouthside ain’t the option! RUN!!!”

Nakai, who has had previous ties with Ziiki Media, followed up her posts with video stories elaborating on her dissatisfaction with the company, declaring: “I’ve never dealt with people that can’t do the bare minimum. They actually made me feel like I hate my life, nothing is going well and it’s actually them promising you the world. I put them on my show. We did lunch, PR and announcement.”

She shared how she felt deceived by the commitments made by Ziiki Media at the beginning of their partnership. “I had to put them on blast because I saw they signed a new artist recently and I can’t in good conscience keep quiet about what a mess Ziiki Media is,” she stated.

Nakai further criticized what she sees as a lack of understanding of the industry among those in charge at Ziiki Media: “The lady there doesn’t know about the South African music industry, she doesn’t care about the industry at all. I feel like she was given this company by her dad to keep herself busy.”

She expressed that the only member of the team who appeared to care about her music career was the individual who initially brought her into the partnership, a person she claims has since departed from the organization.

Nakai also recounted the logistical issues surrounding her album release. “When I signed, the first contract they gave me was wild,” she mentioned. “They took me to dinner, bought me Versace glasses and did a whole launch and announcement, promised me the world but can’t even do the bare minimum.”

According to Nakai, she delivered her album to Ziiki Media three months prior to the intended release. However, she claimed the company was unprepared and asked her to postpone the launch. “I moved the release date for another month for them to do absolutely nothing,” she stated. She also accused them of not updating her Essentials playlist on streaming services.

Nakai hinted that further information would be forthcoming, stating: “I will do a story time on a live one day.”

She wrapped up with a poignant observation about the emotional impact of her ordeal. “It’s actually mind-blowing, the stories and the nonsense I was receiving with Ziiki Media. It’s so unfortunate. I actually feel like I was taken advantage of because I was in hell at that time and I just needed help. I also feel like they used me to do marketing.”

As of this writing, Ziiki Media has not addressed the accusations made by Nakai in her posts, nor have they issued a public comment.
