Sizwe Dhlomo responds to Sol Phenduka’s termination from Kaya FM
Television and radio figure Sizwe Dhlomo has publicly addressed the recent dismissal of his fellow host Sol Phenduka from Kaya FM.
The radio station made the announcement on Monday, 1 September 2025, leading to negative reactions from listeners who disagreed with the action taken.
Phenduka, who previously co-hosted the morning show alongside Dhlomo, had hinted at his departure on 21 August via social media, indicating that his suspension might end in dismissal.
In response to this incident, Dhlomo expressed his dissatisfaction on X on Tuesday, 2 September, regarding the loss of his broadcasting partner.
“Yeah, he brought a lot of value. It was also just good to work with him. Really unfortunate chain of events,” he stated.
Supporters of Podcast and Chill, where Phenduka is a presenter, rallied behind him on social media, sharing messages of support as he transitions into a new phase away from the station.
