Danger is the last surviving member of the iconic Kwaito group Big Nuz, alongside the late artists Mampintsha and R Mashesha. The 42-year-old, originally from Durban, recently spoke about his acting debut on one of South Africa’s popular soap operas.
Big Nuz’s Danger discusses his acting debut on Uzalo
As reported by Daily Sun, Danger, who has faced legal troubles in the past, appeared for the first time on Uzalo on Tuesday, 21 October 2025. He indicated to the publication that this role marked the start of his journey into acting.
Danger described the transition from music to acting as a smooth one, noting that both fields belong to the entertainment industry. He expressed his desire to pursue acting on a full-time basis, stating that fans can anticipate seeing him in more productions as he is currently in talks with various projects that he cannot yet disclose.
“I’m still in negotiations with other TV shows that I will not mention now. Hopefully, my fans will see me there. As a musician, it’s easier to fit into acting,” he said.
Big Nuz’s Danger announces name change and new albums
Danger reassured his followers that he is not stepping away from music. He shared with Daily Sun that he is close to finalizing his first 11-track solo album, stating that he will reveal more information about the release on Monday, 27 October. Danger also indicated that he will be adopting a new name as a tribute to Big Nuz.
“On Monday, 27 October, I’ll be announcing details of my debut album release and will be calling myself ‘Danger weBig Nuz’ to continue with Big Nuz legacy,” he explained.
Following his solo album, Danger stated that he plans to release a Big Nuz tribute album that will include previously unreleased tracks recorded with the late Mampintsha and R Mashesha. It remains uncertain if these projects will be associated with Afrotainment, given earlier allegations that he expressed dissatisfaction with DJ Tira’s record label.
