Big Zulu guides daughter to drop her first music project
Music seems to be a family tradition for Big Zulu, as his older daughter, Siphesihle Nene, is set to launch her debut EP at the age of 15.
The artist known for Imali Eningi expressed his pride and anticipation regarding her entry into the music scene.
He mentioned that Siphesihle has shown a strong desire to record her music, often entertaining him with her singing and seeking opportunities to showcase her talent.
“For the longest time, she has been singing for me and begging me to record her. She’s talented and a good singer. Trust me, every time she surprises me with the way she sings at her age,” Big Zulu stated.
According to him, the initial plan was for Siphesihle to have a solo project, but he opted to provide guidance as she steps into the entertainment world.
“As I have said, this was supposed to be her own EP; however, I saw an opportunity for me to give her much-needed guidance with the things in the entertainment industry,” he elaborated.
Big Zulu noted that Siphesihle’s passion for music and dance played a vital role in shaping the sound of the EP, which will reflect the 3 Step genre.
He referred to her as a gifted performer who continues to impress him.
“What I have heard when she sings, I know this is what people need to hear because she is very talented,” he remarked.
The collaborative EP featuring Big Zulu and Siphesihle is expected to be released on Friday, 26 September 2025.
