Blxckie stands up for K Keed amid the freestyle debate
Rapper Blxckie has shared his thoughts on the controversy that erupted when K Keed opted not to freestyle during his segment on DJ Speedsta’s show.
Providing his view, Blxckie noted that while radio showcases are crucial for artists, the selection of the instrumental is equally significant.
“I don’t know, bro, it’s the culture and it’s a radio show and people are listening to that radio show, so it’s their first time hearing you and you need to drop some bars,” he said.
“But at the same time, it’s 2025, you’re not playing a Pro Kid beat for me to freestyle in 2025, that’s my opinion,” he added
He explained that emerging artists tend to favor modern sounds that align with their unique style and what the audience anticipates.
“I’d prefer a Gunna beat, for instance,” Blxckie elaborated.
