Softfootball reports that Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has dismissed transfer speculation regarding Cole Palmer, affirming that the midfielder is not planning a return to Manchester in the near future. Rosenior addressed the media today, as noted by Fabrizio Romano through his official X account.
He stated:
Liam Rosenior plays down reports on Cole Palmer plans to go back to Manchester: I spoke with Cole and he seems and is very happy to be here. For sure Palmer is a huge part of our plans in the long-term. He’s feeling in a good place and joined training today.
Despite being linked with Manchester United and Manchester City, Rosenior reassured that Palmer is comfortable and dedicated to his role at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer’s remarks come during a challenging season marked by injuries. He has been sidelined for over three months due to a groin strain, a broken toe, and, most recently, thigh tightness.
This latest injury caused him to miss Chelsea’s 1-0 Champions League win against Pafos, raising questions among supporters.
Although he possesses significant talent, Palmer’s performance this season has not reached its peak, with only four league goals to his name so far. There have also been signs of frustration, particularly as his last goal came in the recent 2-0 victory over Brentford.

Since arriving from Manchester City in 2023, Palmer has emerged as one of the standout successes under Chelsea’s current ownership model. While some players are still adapting, Palmer has already made a significant impact and is viewed as a vital part of the team’s future, alongside Moisés Caicedo and Enzo Fernández.
Chelsea has no intentions of transferring Palmer elsewhere. Despite the ongoing rumors and some setbacks, the club remains steadfast in its commitment to build its future around him.
