South African rapper Nadia Nakai recently discussed her new romantic involvement and the process of moving on from her previous relationship on a podcast hosted by L-Tido.
During the conversation, L-Tido inquired about her current relationship with Toss, a question she answered affirmatively.
“Toss is my baby, I love him so much,” she said.
Nadia also shared insights on how this new phase of her life has enabled her to reclaim her sense of self and personal freedoms.
“I gained my freedom, under this cloud of stigma that I’m forever frozen in time of someone else’s widow, when I wasn’t married to him,” she noted.
“You need to understand that Kiernan has been dead longer than I was with him when he was alive. I’m still Nadia Nakai, and was always Nadia Nakai before, and I will be Nadia Nakai after Kiernan,” she emphasized.
When L-Tido mentioned the backlash from AKA’s followers, known as the Megacy, Nadia addressed it directly. She stressed the importance of self-love and the need to move beyond her past.
“I love the Megacy, but I love myself too, and I don’t want to be in this life alone, by myself. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life loving a ghost. I love him and I will always love him; He will always have a special place in my heart, but I’m ready to move on,” she explained.
