DJ Speedsta Issues Apology to K.Keed After Freestyle Dispute. In a recent discussion with Okay Swisher, DJ Speedsta candidly addressed his confrontation with rapper K.Keed. Subsequently, K.Keed made a statement on Instagram, labeling the incident as “clickbait” and sarcastically wishing Speedsta a “Happy Women’s Month.” In response, Speedsta took to X (formerly Twitter), questioning her artistry and telling her to “take her L.” This exchange quickly became a hot topic in the South African hip-hop community.

In a recent open interview, Speedsta accepted responsibility for the situation, expressing remorse for his choice of words.

“I feel bad for saying that. I love Keed. I feel bad because I feel like it was all unnecessary, and it became something it really wasn’t,” he admitted. “So I apologise to KKeed, I love you lot. Rule number one in this thing: never take things personally.”

The apology signified a crucial moment in what could have developed into a prolonged divide in the culture. For many, the initial footage seemed to transcend mere playful banter—it struck a nerve, provoking discussions about gatekeeping and the respect owed to women in hip hop.

By confronting the situation directly, Speedsta appears committed to reshaping the narrative, reminding everyone involved that hip hop fundamentally revolves around passion rather than personal conflicts. The well-known DJ also confirmed that he and K.Keed had a discussion and reconciled over coffee, indicating that they are once again on friendly terms.
