Doja Cat publicly pokes fun at her father again
American rapper Doja Cat entertained her followers with a humorous and somewhat chaotic interaction with her father, Dumisani Dlamini, while visiting South Africa for a concert in Pretoria.
The Paint The Town Red artist disclosed on TikTok her intention to reconnect with her dad during her stay and extended an invitation for him to be part of her show.
However, the situation did not unfold as she had anticipated.
As shared by Doja Cat, Dlamini turned down the invitation, expressing that their communication had been insufficient.
“I was messaging my father, because he’s here in Africa, and he said he couldn’t make it to my show because I don’t message him enough, and I didn’t call him on WhatsApp,” she explained in the video.
Instead of pushing the issue, the Grammy award winner chose to reply in her characteristic light-hearted manner by sending him a prank link.
“So I sent him gay porn, and said if you go to this link, you can get a ticket… and he said, ‘I will send this to my management, my management will handle all of this. At the moment I’m just very busy doing costume and rehearsal,’” she recounted.
Finding the entire situation humorous, Doja Cat continued to share how her father responded with references to his busy schedule, even as the conversation took a comical twist.
“He’s at work, and he keeps on messaging me, and he says, ‘I’m just very busy right now, I can’t get to the phone…’, and then keeps messaging that to me,” she noted.
Not content with that, she reintroduced the link when he seemed puzzled.
“And then I sent him the website again because he said, ‘What is the website?’
The humor escalated as she mimicked his response upon discovering the content of the link.
“He says, ‘Darling, what is this? What I’m seeing is gay porn… I don’t know if it’s a scam,’” she said, laughing.
This amusing anecdote has gained popularity, offering fans a peek into the unique relationship between the global artist, Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, and her father, who is notably recognized for his performance in the classic film *Sarafina!* alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Leleti Khumalo.
