Borussia Dortmund has formally introduced Aaron Anselmino after the completion of his season-long loan from Chelsea this summer.
Sources indicate that the Argentine player will don the number 28 jersey while playing for the Bundesliga team this season. The club sought to strengthen its center-back position due to injuries affecting Nico Schlotterbeck, Niklas Süle, and Emre Can, who, while a midfielder, can effectively fill in that role.

Dortmund’s CEO Lars Ricken issued an official statement expressing enthusiasm about bringing the 20-year-old to the club, as reported by the official club media. He stated:
Due to the injuries to Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck, and Niklas Süle, we were forced to make adjustments at center-back.
Aaron Anselmino has already gained first-league experience in his home country and has great potential.
It was no coincidence that Chelsea FC signed him to an extremely long-term contract last summer.
<pSebastian Kehl, Dortmund’s sporting director, revealed that the team had been observing the Argentina U-20 talent for an extended period before pursuing the loan this summer.
He elaborated:
We have been following Aaron since his time at Boca Juniors. He is a very good solution in our current situation. A talented player who has demonstrated his quality at a young age in very emotional stadiums.
We will integrate him quickly because we need him immediately and are looking forward to seeing Aaron in the black and yellow jersey this season.

Anselmino, after passing his medical examination before signing the loan agreement, is prepared for the challenges ahead.
He commented:
I’m really looking forward to Borussia Dortmund and will give my all to be successful with this great club and its fantastic fans.
I was in Argentina eight months ago, then I went to England to join Chelsea. I’m delighted to be here now. I’m very happy about this step. I’ve been told a lot of good things about the BVB fans and about the size of the club. I’m therefore very happy and am really looking forward to it.
I of course know that it’s a fantastic club that always competes at the very top. I know that BVB have a great fan base, which I like. The fans at Boca Juniors are very good too. That’s what I know about BVB. That makes me very happy to be here, I really like the club.
Anselmino may make his debut at Signal Iduna Park in the upcoming match against Union Berlin next weekend.
