Flvme Shares His Journey to Ambitiouz Entertainment at Just 16

Man-Gale August 31, 2025

The talented rapper and producer Flvme recently recounted his journey of how he reached out to Ambitiouz Entertainment at just 16 years old during an engaging chat on 5 Hip Hop Nights with DJ Speedsta. He revealed the chance events that prompted him to contact the label, the straightforward manner in which he approached them, and how the reply he obtained helped launch his early career.

During his discussion with DJ Speedsta, Flvme reminisced about the pivotal moment that urged him to reach out to the label, which occurred on a tranquil Sunday afternoon. “What actually made me reach out to them is also very interesting,” he noted. “It’s a Sunday, I’m walking back from church and as I’m walking home, I just checked on what’s going on on their page and coincidentally that day, A-Reece had just dropped Couldn’t. I listened to the song and I heard him and I was like, ‘There is no way an 18-year-old is rapping like that.’ So it just inspired me fully.”

Inspired by the music he heard, Flvme made the choice to send a demo to Ambitiouz Entertainment. The song he selected was Shots To The Brain, which later became his debut single with the label. He explained, “I sent them this one song called Shots To The Brain which also ended up being my lead single at Ambitiouz.”

Recalling how he submitted his track, Flvme mentioned that his approach was both brief and clear. “I used the email they had on the bio. I just sent it and I didn’t even write a long story, I kept it straight to the point,” he remarked. “Flvme, K1, 16 years old, here is my music, tell me if you like it.”

Just two days after he sent his demo, he got a response from the label. “Two days later, I got a response from them and then from there, everything just started happening,” he shared. This exchange occurred in late December 2015, and by the next January, coinciding with the reopening of schools, he had his first in-person meeting with the Ambitiouz Entertainment team.

“January I met them on the same week I was supposed to go to school and schools were opening,” Flvme stated. “So I went to go meet them and after we got to an agreement about what we’re gonna do.”

At that time, Flvme was still in high school, which played a significant role in the label’s decision-making process. He indicated that while they did not immediately offer him a formal contract, they were eager to assist him in his artistic growth. “At that time they said they were not gonna sign me because I was still in high school, but they were willing to help me develop as an artist,” he explained.

He further elaborated on the development approach he experienced. “So every week they’d text me to say they need a pack of this many beats, then I’d go make that pack of beats and send. And then they would just send you some money.”

Flvme’s narrative highlights a crucial moment that marked the onset of his music career, driven by his determination, straightforwardness, and bravery to take that initial step.
