<p renown hip-hop artist Kanye West, who now goes by YE, has stirred excitement in South Africa with the announcement of a live performance in Johannesburg scheduled for later this year.
The rapper took to X to reveal he will perform at Ellis Park Stadium on 13 December 2025. This will be his sole concert in Africa for the year.
The promotional poster he shared reflected his signature creative style, featuring the text:

Just hours after the announcement, the post garnered over 20,000 views, prompting a flurry of memes and buzz from fans concerned about potential ticket scarcity.
YE has confirmed that pre-registration is available on Ticketpro.co.za, with more updates expected from the event organizers, Monyake Group and Ellis Park Stadium.
This concert marks YE’s first significant performance in South Africa in several years, and with it being the only date scheduled for the continent in 2025, many anticipate a swift sell-out of tickets.
